HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council Resolution 1976-495CITY OF PLYMOUTH Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a sPei_ial meeting of the City Council of the City of Plymouth, Minnesota, was held on the 23rd day of August , 19 76 The following members were present: Mayor i e, ounclTmen HU�TJeils and Spaeth The following members were absent: Councilman Seibold Councilman Neils introduced the following Resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION #76- 495 DENYING CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT FOR LIQUOR STORE FOR JAMES REFRIGERATION CO. (A-678) WHEREAS, James Refrigeration Co. has requested a conditional use permit to operate a liquor store at the southwest corner of Highway 101 and Merrimac Lane; AND, WHEREAS, the Plymouth Planning Commission has reviewed said request and recom- mendations were made; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA that it should and hereby does deny the request of James Refrigeration Co. for a conditional use permit to operate a liquor store at the southwest corner of Highway 101 and Merrimac Lane based on the following findings: 1. The use proposed is not compatible with the Land Use Guide Plan. 2. The use proposed would create traffic loads that Merrimac Lane was not intended to handle. The motion for the adoption of the foregoing Resolution was duly seconded by , and upon vote being taken thereon the T011ow1ng voted In favBr t ereo :mor Hilde, Councilmen Hunt, Neils anJ Spaeth The following voted against or abstained: Whereupon the Resolution was declared duly -passed and adopted.
