HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council Resolution 1976-458W W CITY OF PLYMOUTH Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Plymouth, Minnesota, was held on the 16th day of August , 19_1L. The following members were present: owing members were gun ilman Nunt introduced the following Resolution and moved its a option: RESOLUTION NO. 76-458 DECLARING COST TO BE ASSESSED AND ORDERING PREPARATION OF PROPOSED ASSESSMENT PROJECT NO. 505 SCHMtDT LAKE IMPROVEMENTS WHEREAS, a contract has been let for the improvement of 1) a portion of the North Central Sanitary Sewer Interceptor between the following points: 15A to 15, 15 to 16, 16 to 16C, 16C to 16A, 16A to 16B, (from a point on 36th Avenue North approximately 600 feet west of Zachary Lane; thence in a northwesterly direction to the approximate intersection of Larch Lane and County Road 9; thence northerly along Larch Lane to 45th Avenue) as shown on the Report on the Comprehensive Sewer Plan for Plymouth, Minnesota. 1972 and subsequent Report Supplement on the Comprehensive Sewer Plan for Plymouth, Mi,,nesota 1973, Alternate B, Water main on Larch Lane from County Road 9 to 45th Avenue; Sanitary sewer lateral, water main lateral, 7 ton bituminous street with concrete curb and gutter on 45th Avenue from Larch Lane easterly and northerly to the terminus in the cul-de-sac in the plat of Shorewood Acres Addition, necessary storm drainage facilities and all necessary appurtenances, together with sewer and water trunkfacilities, and the contract price for such improvement is $ 484,200.00 and the expenses incurred or to be incurred in the making of said improvement amount to $ 111,250.00 so that the total cost of the improvement will be $ 995,950.00 and of this cost the City will pay $ 0.00 as its share of the cost, NOW THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA 1. The cost of such improvement to be specially assessed is hereby declared to be $ 595,950.00. 2. It is further determined that the following charges for sanitary sewer trunk force main, lift station and interceptor facilities and water trunk main, pumping and storage facilities for the above referenced project shall be applied to the existing land use zoning: SEWER AREA CHARGE Residential $250/per � acre or dwelling unit; $500/acre Commercial -Industrial $750/acre Resolution No. 76-450• • Pa ge 2 WATER AREA CHARGE Residential $250/per acre or dwelling unti; $500/acre Commercial -Industrial $750/acre 3. The City Clerk, with the assistance of the City Engineer, shall forthwith calculate the proper amount to be specially assessed for such improvement against every assessable lot, piece or parcel of land within the district affected, without regard to cash valuation, as provided by law, and the Clerk shall file a copy of such proposed assessment in theoffice of the City Clerk for public inspection. 4 . The Clerk shall, upon the completion of such proposed assessment, notify the Council thereof. The motion for the adoption of the foregoing Resolution was duly seconded by Councilman Neils and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Mayor Hilde, Councilmen Hunt and Neils The following voted against or absta ned: None Whereupon the Resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
