HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council Resolution 1976-454NW CITY OF PLYMOUTH Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a �reaular meeting of the City Council of the City of Plymouth, Minnesota, was helion the 16th day of August 19 76 . The following members were present: i e fo owing members were a sent: rminrilnwn seihold and Spaoth Coyncijman Hunt introduced the following Resolution and moved s adoption: RESOLUTION.NO. 76- 454 DECLARING COST TO BE ASSESSED AND ORDERING PREPARATION OF PROPOSED ASSESSMENT PROJECT NO. 306 XENIUM LANE SOUTH OF THE RAILROAD TRACKS WHEREAS, a contract has been let for the improvement of Xenium Lane from the Minnesota Industrial Railroad to a point approximately 1600 feet south by the construction of sanitary sewer, water main, storm sewer and 9 ton street and all necessary appurtenances including previously constructed sanitary sewer and water main trunk facilities, and the contract price for such improvement is $ 251,100.00 and the expenses incurred or to be incurred in the making of said improvement amount to $53,682. 00 so that the total cost of the improvement will be $ 304,782.00 and of this .cost the City will pay $ 0.00 as its share of the cost, NOW THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA: 1. The cost of such improvement to be specially assessed is hereby declared to be $ 304,782.00. 2. It is further determined that the following charges for sanitary sewer trunk force main, lift station and interceptor facilities and water trunk main, pumping and storage facilities for the above referenced project shall be applied to the existing land use zoning: SEWER AREA CHARGE Residential $250/per k acre or dwelling unit; $500.00/acre Commercial -Industrial $750/acre WATER AREA CHARGE Residential $250/ per )i acre or dwelling unit; $500.00/acre Commercial -Industrial $750/acre 3. The City Clerk, with the assistance of the City Engineer, shall forthwith calculate the proper amount to be specially assessed for such improvement against every assessable lot, piece or parcel of land within the district affected, without regard to cash valuation, as provided by law, and the Clerk shall file a copy of such proposed assessment in the office of the City Clerk for public inspection. 4. The Clerk shall, upon the completion of such proposed assessment, notify the Council thereof. Resolution No. 76-454 Page 2 The motion for the adoption of the foregoing Resolution was duly seconded by Councilman Neils , and upon vote being taken thereon, the following vote in favor thereof: Mayor Hilde, Councilmen Neils and Hunt The following voted against or abstained: None Whereupon the Resolution was declared duly passe and adopted.
