Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, areular meeting of
the City Council of the City of Plymouth, flinnesotagwas held on the the
7th day of June , 19_ZfL. The following members were
present: Acting Mayor Hunt. Councilmen Neils, Seihnid & 10 Pth
The following members were absent: Mayor Hilde
Councilman Neils introduced the following Resolution and moved
its adoption:
RESOLUTION #76- 291
APPROVING CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT FOR THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH TO EXCEED HEIGHT ALLOWANCE
IN AN R-1 (SINGLE FAMILY RESIDENTIAL) ZONING DISTRICT FOR A STANDPIPE WATER
RESERVOIR (A-669)
WHEREAS, the City of Plymouth has requested a conditional use permit to exceed the
height allowance for an R-1 (Single Family Residential) Zoning District for a stand-
pipe water reservoir located at the northeast corner of County Road 6 and Ferndale
Road (Plat 43730, Parcel 1820);
AND, WHEREAS, the City Planning Commission has reviewed said request and recommends
its approval;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH,
MINNESOTA that it should and hereby does approve the request of the City of Plymouth
for a conditional use permit to exceed the height allowance for an R-1 (Single Family
Residential) Zoning District for a standpipe water reservoir located at the northeast
corner of County Road 6 and Ferndale Road based upon the following reasons:
The proposed height of a standpipe water reservoir is necessary in order to
provide public health, safety and convenience of the citizens of the City; and,
Any detriment to persons residing in the area would not out -weigh the necessity
for and the importance of the use proposed and its height for the general
welfare of the citizens of Plymouth.
