Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting of
the City Council of the City of Plymouth. Minnesota was held on the the
7th day of June , 19 76 . The following members were
present: Acting mayor Hunt, Councilmen Neils, Seibold & Spaeth
The following members were absent: Mayor Hilde
Councilman Spaeth introduced the following Resolution and moved
its adoption:
RESOLUTION #76-290
APPROVING CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT FOR CITY OF PLYMOUTH FOR STANDPIPE WATER RESERVOIR
IN R-1 (SINGLE FAMILY RESIDENTIAL)
ZONING DISTRICT (A-669)
WHEREAS, the City of Plymouth has requested a conditional use permit for a standpipe
water reservoir to be located in an R-1 (Single Family Residential) Zoning District
at the northeast corner of County Road 6 and Ferndale Road:(Plat 43730, Parcel 1820);
AND, WHEREAS, the Plymouth Planning Commission has reviewed said request and recommends
its approval;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH,
MINNESOTA that it should and hereby does approve the request of the City of Plymouth
for a conditional use permit for a standpipe water reservoir to be located in an
R-1 (Single Family Residential) Zoning District at the northeast corner of County
Road 6 and Ferndale Road based upon the following:
1) The proposed use of the site for a standpipe water reservoir is necessary in
order to provide public health, safety and convenience of the citizens of the
City; and,
2) Any detriment to persons residing in the area would not out -weigh the necessity
for and the importance of the use proposed for the.general welfare of the citizens
of Plymouth.
The motion for the adoption of the foregoing Resolution was duly seconded
by Councilman Neils , and upon vote being taken thereon the
following voted in favor thereof: Acting Mayor Hunt, Councilmen Nei)s,
Seibold and Spaeth
The following voted against or abstained: None
