CITY OF PLYMOUTH Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, are meeting of the City Council of the City of Plymouth, Minnesota, w s e d on the 17th day of May , 19 76 . The following members were present: Mayor Hilde, Councilmen Hunt Neils Seibold and Spaeth The following members were absent:None *,k,t Councilman Spaeth introduced the following Resolution and moved t�ption: RESOLUTION NO. 76-268 AWARDING BIDS FOR SEAL COATING PROGRAM WHEREAS, pursuant to an advertisement for bids for the improvement -of certain streets by the construction of a bituminous seal coat, bids were received, opened and tabulated according to law and the following bids, were received complying with the advertisement: BIDDER Allied Blacktop Blacktop Constr. ALTERNATE A ALTERNATE_B ALTERNATE C BASE BID $2,975.00 $6,100.00 $57,035.00 $112,483.45 $6,000.00 $6,100.00 $57,950.00 $113,463.00 $4,900.00 $6,500.00 $59,780.00 $116,261.25 $4,400.00 $6,500.00 $59,780.00 $117,875.00 WHEREAS, it appears that Allied Blacktop Company of Minneapolis, Minnesota is the lowest responsible bidder, NOW THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA: 1. The Ma or and Clerk are hereby authorized and directed to enter into the contract with AllieV Blacktop Company of Minneapolis. Minnesota in the name of the City of Plymouth, for the improvement of certain City streets by the construction of a bituminous seal coat according to the plans and specifications therefor approved by the City Council and on file in the office of the City Clerk, for a total base bid of $112,483.45 plus Alternate A, $2,975.00 and Alternate B $6,100.00 for a total bid of $121,558.45. 2. Alternate C is hereby rejected. 3. The City Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to return forthwith to all bidders the deposits made with their bids. except that the deposits of the successful bidder and the next lowest bidder shall be retained until a contract has been signed. The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilman Hunt, and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Mayor Hilde, Councilmen Hunt, Neils, Seibold and Spaeth. The following voted against or abstained: None. Whereupon the Resolution was declared duly pa.sed and adopted.
