The following members were present: Mayor Hilda. Councilmen Hunt. Neils. B-2, B-3 AND B-4 ZONING DISTRICTS The practice of constructing buildings designed for multiple and changing tenancy in B-1, B-2, B-3 and B-4 zones has been deemed appropriate by many private developers in Plymouth. Commonly referred to as "multi -tenant" office buildings, these structures house uses categorized for professional and general business activities interchangeably. The City Code requirements properly require substantially more off-street parking for "general" office use than "professional" office uses. In order to adequately handle any existing and/or future off-street parking problems, the Council has established a policy requiring off-street parking facility layout at the time of site plan review for any multi -tenant office structures in the B-1, B-2, B-3 and B-4 zoning districts. To arrive at a parking storage formula sufficient to handle future needs, an amount equal to the existing City Code require- ments for "general" office uses will be employed. Further, it is the policy to monitor the parking/tenancy ratio of all existing such structures to assure ample off-street parking for all proposed tenancy configurations as per the City Code.
