HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council Resolution 1976-205W CITY OF PLYMOUTH LJ Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Plymouth, Minnesota, was Feld— on the 19th day of April , 19 76 . The following members were present: Mayor Hilde, Councilmen Hunt, Neils, Seibold and Spaeth The following members were absent: none erir Councilman Hunt introduced the following Resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION #76- 205 DENYING REQUEST OF ENTERPRISE PROPERTIES FOR PRELIMINARY PLAT AND REZONING OF "GLEANLOCH THIRD ADDITION" (A-166) WHERFAS, Enterprise Properties has requested a rezoning from R-0 (Open Residential ;District) to R-1 (Single Family Residential District) and preliminary plat approval -'of Gleanloch Third Addition; and, WHEREAS, the Plymouth Planning Commission has reviewed said requests and recommends their denial; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA that it should and hereby does deny the requests of Enterprise Properties for rezoning and preliminary plat approval of Gleanloch Third Addition based upon the following findings: 1) The plat as proposed would create 18 lots substandard either*in street frontage (110 foot minimum), or total area (18,500 square foot minimum), or both as required by Section 7, Subdivision 5 of the Plymouth Zoning Ordinance. 2) Development of the plat as proposed would result in an unacceptable degree of slope on the lots (north to south), particularly with respect to the required design of the Thoroughfare street proposed adjacent to the plat. 3) The length, location and grades of the proposed marginal access street would not provide reasonable traffic circulation consistent with Goal C, Objective 3 and Goal D, Objective 1 of the adopted Goals, -Objectives and Criteria.. The motion for the adoption of the foregoing Resolution was duly seconded by Councilman Seibold , and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Mayor Hilde, Councilmen Hunt, Neils, Seibold and Spaeth.
