Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a'meeting meeting of
the City Council of the City of Plymouth, Minnesota was held on the the
12 day of April , 19lfL_. The following members were
present: Mayor Hi de, Councilmen Hunt, Neils, Seibold and Spaeth
The following members were absent: none
Councilman Seibold introduced the following Resolution and moved
its adoption:
RESOLUTION NO. 76-193
AWARDING BID FOR 1250 GPM PUMPER TRUCK
TO JOHN BEAN DIVISION OF FMC CORPORATION
WHEREAS, the City submitted proposals for a 1250 GPM Pumper Truck which
were authorized by the City Council on February 2, 1976, and
WHEREAS, bids were received on March 9, 1976 and were publicly opened and
tabulated according to law, and
WHEREAS, it appears that the John Bean Division of FMC Corporation is deemed
to be the lowest responsible bidder in the amount of $77,500.00;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH
that the Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized and directed to
enter into a contract with John Bean Division of FMC Corporation in
the name of the City of Plymouth for the purchase of one 1250 GPM
Pumper Truck according to the plans and specifications approved by
the City Council and on file in the office of the City Clerk.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk is hereby authorized and directed
to return forthwith to all bidders the deposits made with their bids,
except that the deposits of the successful bidder and the next lowest
bidder shall be retained until a contract has been signed.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the sum of $77,500.00 be and the same is hereby
appropriated from the Revenue Sharing Fund for the purchase of this
fire apparatus.
The motion for the adoption of the foregoing Resolution was duly seconded
by Councilman Neils , and upon vote being taken thereon, the
following voted in favor thereof: Mayor Hilde, Councilmen Hunt, Neils
Seibold and Spaeth.
The following voted against or abstained: none.
Whereupon the Resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
