R ESOLUTION N O. 2020-197
R ESOLUTION A CCEPTING THE C OUNTY R OAD 47 C ORRIDOR S TUDY
AND A UTHORIZING J URISDICTIONAL T RANSFER N EGOTIATIONS
WHEREAS, the City of Plymouth and Hennepin County jointly solicited, reviewed, and selected a
qualified consultant from a pool of three qualified firms to complete a corridor study of County Road 47
from County Road 101 to Northwest Boulevard; and
WHEREAS, the City of Plymouth and Hennepin County shared the cost in completing the County
Road 47 Corridor Study; and
WHEREAS, the study included extensive stakeholder outreach to gain feedback through surveys,
meetings, online GIS mapping, open houses, mailings, and the city website; and
WHEREAS, the City of Plymouth and Hennepin County staff have reviewed the study and have jointly
agreed to the contents presented in the study; and
WHEREAS, the study is complete.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH,
MINNESOTA, that the County Road 47 Corridor Study is accepted and city staff is authorized to begin a
negotiation with Hennepin County for the jurisdictional transfer of County Road 47 from County Road 101 to
Northwest Boulevard.
