R ESOLUTION N O. 2020-192
R ESOLUTION TO A WARD THE CONTRACT FOR 2020-2021
P ROPERTY AND CASUALTY INSURANCE TO
THE L EAGUE OF M INNESOTA C ITIES I NSURANCE T RUST (LMCIT)
WHEREAS, the city desires to purchase insurance coverage for potential liability and property
losses; and
WHEREAS, the city received a renewal from the League of Minnesota Cities Insurance
Trust for an annual premium of $602,579; and
WHEREAS, staff recommends that the city council authorize the statutory tort liability
limit of $1,500,000.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH,
MINNESOTA, that the 2020-2021 contract for property and casualty insurance is awarded to the League
of Minnesota Cities Insurance Trust for an annual premium of $602,579 is approved.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA, that
the statutory tort liability limit of $1,500,000 is authorized.
