RESOLUTION No. 2009-199
A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORING THE MAYOR AND CITY MANAGER
TO ENTER INTO A CONTRACT WITH PERFORMANCE KENNELS, INC.
FOR THE PURCHASE AND TRAINING OF A NEW POLICE CANINE
WHEREAS, the police department current has two police canine units; and
WHEREAS, on June 29th, one canine handler was promoted out of the position of handler; and
WHEREAS, the department recommends it is in the best interest of the dog and the department
to retire that canine from the program and purchase and train a new dog and officer; and
WHEREAS, the department has previously used the services of Performance Kennels, Inc. for
the purchase of dogs for use in the program and the training of the teams and has been satisfied.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA THE MAYOR AND CITY MANAGER ARE AUTHORIZED TO
ENTER INTO A CONTRACT WITH PERFORMANCE KENNELS, INC. FOR THE PURCHASE AND TRAINING
OF A NEW POLICE CANINE.
