HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council Minutes 06-09-2020 SpecialAdopted Minutes Special Council Meeting June 9, 2020 Mayor Wosje called a Special Meeting of the Plymouth City Council to order at 5:00 p.m. in the Council Chambers of City Hall, 3400 Plymouth Boulevard, on June 9, 2020. COUNCIL PRESENT: Mayor Wosje, Councilmembers Willis, Carroll, McGregor, Roehl, Davis, and Prom. (Councilmembers McGregor, Carroll, Willis, Davis, Prom, and Roehl participated remotely per State Statute 13D.021). ABSENT: None. STAFF PRESENT: City Manager Callister, Administrative Services Director Hokkanen, and City Clerk Engdahl. (Public Works Director Thompson, Community Development Director Juetten, Public Safety Director Goldstein, Parks and Recreation Director Evans, Human Resources Manager Kone, Fire Chief Coppa, Accounting Supervisor McMackins, Finance Manager Bursheim, City Engineer LaBounty, Housing Manager Barnes, Economic Development Manager Parr, Planning Manager Thomson, Deputy Director of Parks and Recreation Northway participated remotely). Access to Drive-In/Drive Through Businesses Planning Manager Thomson presented the report on the current language and possible language change in the Zoning Ordinance for drive-in/drive through businesses. She noted that on November 12, 2019, Council adopted an interim ordinance temporarily prohibiting drive-in/drive through restaurants in order to allow staff to complete a study of this matter. It was the consensus of the Council to not change the language. Budget Goals Councilmembers discussed the property tax levy for 2021 in order to give direction to staff as they prepare the 2021 budget. Set Future Study Sessions The Council scheduled the following study sessions: • June 30 at 6:00 p.m. — Highway 55/1-494 redevelopment • September 8 at 5:30 p.m. — chickens and bees Adopted Minutes 1 of 2 Special Meeting of June 9, 2020 Adiournment Mayor Wosje adjourned the meeting at 6:45 p.m. andra R.
