HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council Resolution 1976-079CITY OF PLY140UTH Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Plymouth, Minnesota, was held on the 2nd day of February 1976 . The following members were present: Acting Mayor Hunt, Councilmen Neils Seibold and Spaeth The following members were absent: Mayor Hilde Councilman Spaeth introduced the following Resolution and moveT its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 76-79 ACCEPTING PRELIMINARY REPORT PROJECT 605 WATER RESERVOIR NO. 4 WHEREAS, pursurant to resolution of the Council adopted September 15, 1975, a report has been prepared by Bonestroo, Rosene, Anderl•ik & Associates, Inc. with reference to the improvement of the Water Distribution Trunk System for the City of Plymouth, Minnesota by the construction of the following: 1. Acquisition of site and construction of Reservoir No. 4 on or near County Road 6 at the west end of the City. 2. 12" water trunk main on County Road 6 from Ranier Lane to Ferndale Road and from County Road 6 south on Ferndale Road approximately 1300 feet. and this report was received by the Council on February 2, 1976, NOW THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH: I. The Council will consider a) the acquisition of site and construction of Reservoir No. 4 on or near County Road 6 at the west end of the City and b) the construction of a 12" water trunk main on County Road 6 from Ranier Lane to Ferndale Road and from County Road 6 south on Ferndale Road approx- imately 1300 feet. all in accordance with the report and with respect to the 12" water trunk main on County Road 6, the assessment of abutting property for all or a portion of the costof the improvement pursuant to Minnesota Statutes Sections 429.011 to 429.111 (Laws 1953, Ch. 398, as amended) at an estimated total cost for the improvements of $379,000.00 for Reservoir No. 4 and $11,000.00 for the 12" water trunk main. 2. Engineer will locate a reasonable site for a standpipe system, take soil borings and come back to Council with recommendation on March 8. 3. Engineer will present to Council an architectural design for a standpipe system that would be aesthetically acceptable and an estimate of the construction cost. The motion for the adoption of the foregoing Resolution was duly seconded by Councilman Neils and upon vote being taken thereon, the fol owing voted in favor thereof: Acting Mayor Hunt, Councilmen Neils Seibold and Spaeth The following voted against or abstained: None Whereupon the Resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
