HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council Resolution 1976-070CITY OF PLYMOUTH Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Plymouth, Minnesota, was held on the 2nd day of February , 1976 . The following members were present: Acting Mayor Hunt, Councilmen Neils, Seibold and Spaeth owing memoirs were Councilman Spaeth introduced the following Resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 76-70 PETITION TO MINNEHAHA CREEK WATERSHED DISTRICT WHEREAS, the City of Plymouth has adopted a Master Storm Drainage Plan which incorporates Mooney Lake as an integral part thereof, and WHEREAS, the development of the Greentree West Addition proposes the construction of a storm sewer system with its outlet to Mooney Lake, and WHEREAS, because past records indicate wide fluctuation in the level of Mooney Lake causing concern to the abutting residents on the lake, and WHEREAS, there does not presently exist an outlet to Mooney Lake, and therefore concern has been expressed relative to possible flooding, NOW THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA that the Board of Managers of the Minnehaha Creek Watershed District are hereby petitioned by the City of Plymouth to have prepared a preliminary study on Mooney Lake, said study to include the following: 1. Collection of all pertinent historical data on water levels. 2. Tabulation of existing and proposed drainage structures. 3. Topographic and soil type data sufficient to establish watershed character of the Mooney Lake Basin. 4. An assessment of the effects of full development within the Mooney Lake basin on drainage character and future lake levels. 5. The Minnehaha Watershed District will finance the study. The motion for the adoption of the foregoing Resolution was duly seconded by and upon vote being taken thereon, the following vote in avor t ereo :Acting Mayor Hunt, Councilmen Neils. Seibold and Spaeth the following voted against or abstained: None Whereupon the Resolution was declared duly passed and adopted. f,r� rntrt
