Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting of the City
Council of the City of Plymouth, Minnesota, was held on the 2nd day
of February , 19 76 . The following members were present:

Councilman Seibold introduced the following Resolution and
moved its adoption:
RESOLUTION N0. 76-69
BASSETT CREEK FLOOD CONTROL COMMISSION
WHEREAS, the City of Plymouth is a member of the Bassett Creek Flood Control Commission
and has participated in the development of the Commission's Flood Control Plan, and
WHEREAS, the City of Plymouth supports the efforts of the Bassett Creek Flood Control
Commission to find a practical and economical solution to the flood control problem
within the district,
WHEREAS, the City of Plymouth has continuing concern about the ultimate financing of the
projects embodied in the plan and feel that federal assistance in developing a flood
• control plan is a necessity,
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH,
MINNESOTA:
1. The City of Plymouth supports and encourages the Bassett Creek Flood Control Commission
and the U.S. Carps of Engineers to go ahead with an appropriate program to solve these
flooding problems within the Bassett Creek Watershed District.
2. The U.S. Corps of Engineers should pursue federal funding for the control of Bassett
Creek.
3. General concept approval is given to the plan, if prior to approval of the construction
plans, a provision is made for further public hearings and the matter of local costs
is resolved to Council satisfaction.
4. The Council wishes to thank the Army Corps of Engineers for its efforts to date in
trying to develop a plan which will satisfy the desires of the communities affected.
The motion for the adoption of the 'foregoing Resolution was duly seconded by
