CITY OF PLYMOUTH
Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting of the City
Council of the City of Plymouth, Minnesota, was held on the 19th day
of January 19 76 . The following members were present:

Councilman Spaeth introduced the following Resolution and
moved its adoption:
RESOLUTION #76-51
APPROVING TRAFFIC STUDY OF FERNDALE ROAD SUBJECT TO CERTAIN CONDITIONS AND
DIRECTING THE CITY MANAGER TO PROCEED WITH STUDY
WHEREAS, it has been proposed by the Mayor of Orono that a traffic study
be jointly undertaken by Plymouth and Orono encompassing Ferndale Road
between County Road #6 and U. S. Highway 12; and,
WHEREAS, by its conditions of approval to the Ferndale North preliminary
plat, the Plymouth City Council has concurred in the need for such a traffic
study; and,
WHEREAS, Plymouth City Staff has proposed a study outline, time schedule and
cost by a memorandum dated January 15, 1976;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA that it should and hereby does direct the City Manager
to obtain a written proposal of the type and nature suggested and execute the
same on behalf of the City of Plymouth;and,
That the City Manager is authorized and directed to seek approval and 50%
funding of the proposal by the City of Orono; and
That the .amount of $1,000 is hereby appropriated from the Surplus Account
to defray Plymouth's share of the study cost; and,
That the City Manager shall return for further Council direction should the
traffic study not be authorized by Orono within 30 days of this action.
The motion for the adoption of the foregoing Resolution was dVly seconded by
