A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING AN AGREEMENT WITH MINNESOTA S.A. F. E. R. TO PARTICIPATE IN
THEIR PROGRAM AND ACCEPT A DONATION FROM THE PLYMOUTH CRIME Et FIRE PREVENTION FUND
TOWARDS THE PURCHASE OF AN ELECTRONIC TRACKING RECEIVER
WHEREAS, the safety of vulnerable children and adults within the community is a priority for
law enforcement; and
WHEREAS, Minnesota S.A.F.E.R. is a program that offers a technological solution to assist
with keeping these individuals safe or helping find them if they are missing; and
WHEREAS, the Plymouth Crime & Fire Prevention Fund has agreed to support this initiative
with an initial donation of $500 toward the purchase of an electronic tracking receiver and additional
funds as they become available.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA that the Plymouth Police Department is authorized to Enter into
an Agreement with Minnesota S.A.F.E.R. to Participate in their Program.
AND, BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Donation from the Plymouth Crime & Fire
Prevention Fund to support this Program is accepted to be used toward the purchase of an Electronic
Tracking Receiver.
