HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council Resolution 2009-161CITY OF PLYMOUTH RESOLUTION No. 2009-161 A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CITY MANAGER TO ENTER INTO A MULTI -AGENCY LAW ENFORCEMENT AGREEMENT FOR THE INTERNET CRIMES AGAINST CHILDREN TASK FORCE WHEREAS, Minnesota has an Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force that is coordinated by the St. Paul Police Department; and WHEREAS, the City of Plymouth is concerned about issues involving children and has identified a concern about crimes against children occurring within the City; and WHEREAS, participation in the task force has a huge benefit for the Department including assistance, training, equipment, and information; and WHEREAS, the ICAC Task Force has great benefit for the City at minimal cost. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA that the Mayor and City Manager is authorized to enter into a Multi -Agency Law Enforcement Agreement to participate in the Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force.
