HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council Resolution 1975-488a CITY OF PLYMOUTH IV .Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a special meeting of the City Council of the City of Plymouth, Minnesota, was held on the ath day of September 1975 The following members were present: Mayor Hilde n Co i e Neils. Seibold and Spaeth The following members were absent: Councilman Hunt **k Councilman Neils introduced the following Resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 75.488 CALLING HEARING ON PROPOSED ASSESSMENT PROJECT NO. 407 - 25TH AVENUE WHEREAS, by a resolution passed by the Council on August 18, 1975, the City Clerk was directed to prepare a proposed assessment of the cost of improving 25th Avenue between Magnolia Lane and approximately 1150 feet west thereof by the construction of bituminous streets with concrete curb and gutter and all necessary appurtenances, and WHEREAS, the Clerk has notified the Council that such proposed assessment has been completed and filed in the office of the City Clerk for public inspection, NOW THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA: 1. A hearing shall be held on the 29th day of September, 1975 in the Council Chambers of the City Public Works Building, 14900 23rd Avenue North at 7:30 p.m. to pass upon the proposed assessment and at such time and place all persons owning property affected by such improvement will be given an opportunity to be heard with reference to such assessment. 2. The City Clerk is hereby directed to cause a notice of the hearing on the proposed assessment to be published once in the official newspaper at least two weeks prior to the hearing and shall state in the notice the total cost of the improvement. The Clerk shall also cause mailed notice to be given to the owner of each parcel described in the assessment roll. The motion for the adoption of the foregoing Resolution was duly seconded by Councilman Spaeth , and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof Mayor Hilde, Councilmen Neils and Spaeth Councilman Seibold was away from the table. The following voted against or abstained: none Whereupon the Resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
