HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council Resolution 1975-485W W CITY OF PLYMOUTH Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a special meeting of the City Council of the City of Plymouth, Minnesota, was held on the 8th day of September , 1975 . The following members were present: e,Councilmen Neils. Seibold and Spaeth The o ow ng members were absent: Councilman Hunt Councilman Neils introduced the following Resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION N0. 75-485 CALLING HEARING ON PROPOSED ASSESSMENT PROJECT NO. 405 10TH AVENUE WHEREAS, by a resolution passed by the Council on August 18, 1975, the City Clerk was directed to prepare a proposed assessment of the cost of improving 10th Avenue between Nathan Lane and County Road 18 by the construction of a nine ton bituminous street with concrete curb and gutter, storm sewer facilities and all necessary appurtenances, and WHEREAS, the Clerk has notified the Council that such proposed assessment has been completed and filed in the office of the City Clerk for public inspection, NOW THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA: 1. A hearing shall be held on the 29th day of September, 1975 in the City Counoil Chambers in the City Public Works Building, 14900 23rd Avenue North, at 7:30 p.m. to pass upon such proposed assessment and at such time and place all persons owning property affected by such improvement shall be given an opportunity to be heard with reference to such assessment. 2. The City Clerk is hereby directed to cause a notice of the hearing on the proposed assessment to be published once in the official newspaper at least two weeks prior tc the hearing, and shall state in the notice the total cost of the improvement. The Clerk shall also cause mailed notice to be given to the owner of each parcel described in the assessment roll. The motion for the adoption of the foregoing Resolution was duly seconded by Councilman Spaeth and upon vote being taken thereon, the Tollowing voted in favor t ereo ayor Hilde, Councilmen Neils and Spaeth Councilman Seibold was away from the table The following voted against orabstained: none Whereupon the Resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
