NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA, that it should and hereby does approve the request by Three Rivers Park District for signage variances related to the regional trail system, subject to the following conditions: 1. The requested variances are hereby approved, in accordance with the plans received by the City on May 21, 2009, except as may be amended by this resolution. 2. The requested variances are approved, based on the finding that all applicable variance standards have been met. The two signs (park system kiosk and trail kiosk) at Site 1, located along the Luce Line Trail and Vicksburg Lane, would provide needed information where the trail changes from asphalt to gravel. Furthermore, the increased height of the directional signs (from 12 feet to 14 feet — excludes decorative curved top feature) would help to minimize vandalism of the signs. 3. The variances shall expire one year after the date of approval, unless the property owner or applicant has substantially started constriction of the project, or unless the landowner or applicant has received prior approval from the City to extend the expiration date for up to one additional year, as regulated under Section 2 103 0. 06 of the Zoning Ordinance. ADOPTED on July 14, 2009. Resolution 2009-154 (2009017) Page 2 STATE OF MINNESOTA) COUNTY OF HENNEPIN) SS.
