CoMncilman Hunt introduced the following Resolution and moved its
adoption. RESOLUTION NO. 75- 256
AWARDING BIDS
CARLSON COMPANIES ADDITION - PROJECT 416
WATER MAIN TRUNKS CONNECTION TO TREATMENT PLANT PROJECT 302-001
WHEREAS, pursuant to an advertisement for bids for the improvement of Xenium Lane from
approximately 1300 feet south of the Chicago -Northwestern Railroad Tracks to the new
alignment of County Road 15 as shown on the plat of Carlson Companies Addition; on
13th Avenue North between Xenium Lane and Peripheral Road; on Berkshire Lane between the
new alignment of County Road 15 and 13th Avenue, all shown on the plat of Carlson Companies `
Addition by the installation of sanitary sewer, water main, storm sewer, 9 ton.bituminous
streets with concrete curb and gutter and all necessary appurtenances, including the
water line on 13th Avenue between Berkshire Lane and Peripheral Road; and the construction
of the necessary water main trunk lines to connect the existing wells to the 13 MGD
iron removal water treatment plant bids were received on May 16, 1975, opened and tabulated
according to law and the following bids were received complying with the advertisement:

WHEREAS, it appears that Barbarossa & Sons, Inc. of Minneapolis, Minnesota is the lowest
responsible bidder,
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOT)
1. The Mayor and Clerk are hereby authorized and directed to enter into the attached
contract with Barbarossa & Sons, Inc. of Minneapolis, Minnesota in the name of the
City of Plymouth, Minnesota for the improvement of Xenium Lane from approximately 1300
feet south of the Chicago -Northwestern Railroad Track-: to the new alignment of
County Road 15 as shown on the plat of Carlson Companies Addition; on 13th Avenue
between Xenium Lane and Peripheral Road; on Berkshire Lane between the new alignment
of County Road 15 and 13th Avenue all shown on the plat of Carlson Companies Addition
by the installation of sanitary sewer, water main, storm sewer, 9 ton bituminous
streets with concrete curb and gutter and all necessary appurtenances, and water line
on 13th Avenue between Berkshire Lane and Peripheral Road;and the construction of the
necessary water main trunk lines to connect the existing wells to the 13 MGD iron
removal water treatment plant, according to the plans and specifications therefor
approved by the City Council and on file in the office of the City Clerk for the
low bid amount of $739,418.80.

• 2. The City Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to return forthwith to all
bidders the deposit made with their bids, except that the deposits of the
successful bidder and the next lowest bidder shall be retained until a
contract has been signed.
The motion for the adoption of the foregoing Resolution was duly seconded by
Councilman Spaeth, and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in
favor thereof: Mayor Hiide, Councilmen Hunt, Neils, Seibold and Spaeth.
The following voted against or abstained: None.
Whereupon the Resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
