HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council Resolution 1975-206CITY OF PLYMOUTH Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Plymouth, Minnesota, was held on the 21st day of April , 19 75 . The following members were present: Acting ng members were absent: Mayor Hilde and Acting Maynr Hunt f*# Councilman Neils introduced the following Resolution and move is adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 75-206 REQUIRING ALL .SITE PLANS FOR STRUCTURES IN I-1 OR I-2 ZONES PROVIDE FOR OFF-STREET PARKING IN Atf AMOUNT EQUAL TO EXISTING CITY CODE REQUIREMENTS FOR "MANUFACTURING" USES WHEREAS, the practice of coistructing buildings designed for multiple and changing tenancy in I-1 and 1-2 zones has been deemed appropriate by private developers in Plymouth, and WHEREAS, said multiple tenant structures may house uses categorized as °manufacturing" and "warehousing" interchangeably, and WHEREAS, the off-street parking requirements of the -City of Plymouth properly require substantially more off-street parking for uses categorized as "manufacturing" than for uses categorized as "warehousing", NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA, that it should and hereby does establish a Policy of requiring all site plans for structures in I-1 or I-2 zones, to be potentially occupied by multiple or changing tenants, provide for off-street parking in an amount equal to'the existing City Code requirements for "manufacturing" uses. Further, that It be the Policy of said City to monitor the parking/tenancy ratio of all existing such structures to assure ample off-street parking for all proposed tenancy configurations as per the City Code. *Che motion for the adoption of the foregoing Resolution was duly seconded by Councilman Seibold , and upon vote being taken thereon, the following vote in favor thereof: Acting Mayor Spaeth, Councilmen Neils and Seibold. The following voted against orabstained: Whereupon the Resolution was declared duly passe and adopted.
