RESOLUTION NO. 75-198
ACCEPTING BIDS - PROJECT N0. 504 - ZACHARY LANE STREET IMPROVEMENTS
WHEREAS. pursuant to an advertisement for bids for the improvement of Zachary Lane between
County Road 9 and 36th Avenue by the construction of an initial 7 ton bituminous rural
street section without concrete curb and gutter, storm sewer. water main and all necessary
appurtenances. bids were received on April 18. 1975, opened, and tabulated according to
law and the following bids were received complying wi+l- the advertisement:

WHEREAS, it appears that Alexander Construction Company of Minneapolis. Minnesota, is the
lowest responsible bidder.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA
1. The Mayor and Clerk are hereby authorized and directed to enter into the attached
contract with Alexander Construction Company of Minneapolis. Minnesota in the name
of the City of Plymouth. Minnesota for the improvement of Zachary Lane between County
Road 9 and 36th Avenue by the construction of initial 7 ton bituminous rural street
section without concrete curb and gutter, storm sewer, water main and all necessary
appurtenances for the low base bid of $253,067.65 plus Alternate No. 1 in the amount
of $24,886.00 for a total of $277,953.65 (Alternate No. 2 is hereby rejected), according
to the plans and specifications therefor approved by the City Council and on file in
the office of the City Clerk.
2. The City Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to return forthwith to all bidders
the deposits made with their bids except that the deposits of the successful bidder
and the next lowest bidder shall be retained until the contract has been si ned.
Tke motion for the adoption of the foregoing Resolution was duly seconded by
Councilmen Seibold, and upon vote tieing taken thereon, the following voted in
.favor thereof: Acting Mayor Spaeth. Councilman Neils and Seibold. The following
voted against or abstained: none. Whereupon. the Resolution was declared duly
passed and adopted.
