Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, as�ci 1 meeting of the City
Council of the City of Plymouth, Minnesota, was held on the 24th day

RESOLUTION NO. 75-154
PROPOSED AMENDMENTS - OPEN MEETING LAM
WHEREAS, the City of Plymouth supports the intent of the open witing law which
is to have the public business conducted openly so that the public can be informed
of the decisions and actions being taken, and
WHEREAS, there are certain matters of a confidential nature wnich soy► not be in
the public interest, at a particular time, to disclose publicly. and
WHEREAS, the Attorney General has rendered an opinion which appears to be more
restrictive than the legislature intended.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLY100M
that the City Council urges the Legislature to consider changes to the open westing
law which would provide for amendments to the law as proposed in the draft
legislation submitted by the League of Minnesota Municipalities, and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that copies of this resolution be tronspltted to
governor Anderson, Senator Rolf Nelson and Representative Lon Heinitz,
and the League of Minnesota Municipalities.
