HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council Resolution 1975-109MY OF PLYMOUTH Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a special meeting of the City Council of the City of Plymouth, Minnesota, was hefld on t e 24th day of February , 19 75 . The following members were present: Mayor Hilde, aunt Neils and ibgl The following members were absent: Counc men Hunt and Spaeth Councilmap Neils introduced the following Resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 75-109 REDUCING SPEED LIMIT SERVICE ROAD ON WEST SIDE OF COUNTY ROAD 18 BETWEEN 26TH AVENUE AND 13TH AVENUE WHEREAS, a survey has been made by the Engineering and Police Department relative to the lowering of the speed limit from 40 mph to 30 mph on the service road on -the ,west side of Gounty,Road 18 between.26th Avenue and 13th Avenue. WHEREAS, it felt that because of the heavy truck traffic from the steel warehouse, the new bypass around the Medicine Lake Park, existing hills and intersections, many of which are blind, hidden driveways and children coming and going from the park, the -speed limit should be lowered, . NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA that the Public Works Department is authorized to post the speed limit on the service road on the west side of County Road 18 between 26th Avenue and 13th Avenue at 30 mph and to remove the existing 40 mph sign. The motion for the adoption of the foregoing Resolution was duly seconded by COUnqilMan S@ihe1 , and upon vote being taken thereon, the an "eKOXIOCted 'n avor thereof: Mayor Hilde, Councilmen Neils Tfie following voted against orabstained: none Whereupon the Resolution was declared duly passed and adopted. �trir
