The following members were present: Mavor Hilde. ng members were absent: none #�r Councilman Hunt introduced the following Resolution and moved Its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 75-62 AWARDING BID ON PROJECT 304-001 WHEREAS, pursuant to an advertisement for bids for. the improvement of streets in the Hughes 1st and 2nd Additions and the Roger L. Johnson Addition by the installation of bituminous streets with concrete curb and gutter and necessary appurtenances, bias were received Friday, January 10, 1975, opened and tabulated according to law, and the following bids were received complying with the advertisement: Bury a Carlson Buffalo Bituminous, Inc. Alexander Construction Co. Hardrives, Inc. Dunkley Surfacing Co. Riegger Roadways, Irc. C.S McCrossan, Inc. Progressive Contractors BASE BID ALTERNATE BID $71,841.30 $1,630.00 72,010.25 2,080.00 74,568.25 2,270.00 76,121.00 2,000.00 78,341.50 1,770.00 83,748.50 1,860.00 83,748.50 1,860.00 89,495.50 2,100.00 WHEREAS, it appears that Bury and Carlson, Inc., of Minneapolis, Minnesota is the lowest responsible bidder, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA: 1. The Manager and Clerk are hereby authorized and directed to enter into the attached contract with Bury and Carlson Inc. of Minneapolis, Minnesota in the name of the City of Plymouth, Minnesota for the improvement of streets in the Hughes 1st and 2nd Additions' and the Roger L. Johnson Addition by the installation of bituminous streets with concrete curb and gutter and necessary appurtenances, according to the plans and specifications therefor approved by the City Council and on file in the office of the City Clerk for the low bid amount of $73,171.30 including alternate. 2.. The City Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to return forthwith to all bidders the deposits made with their bids, except the deposits of the successful bidder and the next lowest bidder shall be retained until a contract has been signed. The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilman Seibold, and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Mayor Hilde, Councilmen Hunt, Neils, Seibold and Spaeth. The following voted against or abstained: none. Whereupon the resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
