CITY OF PLYMOUTH
Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a s eci 1 meeting of the City
Council of the City of Plymouth, Minnesota, was eld on the 28th day

Councilman Hunt introduced the following Resolution and

RESOLUT?ON NO. 74-539
APPROVING ALLOCATION TO THE LEAGUE OF MINNESOTA MUNICIPALITIES
FAIR LABOR STANDARDS ACT TRUST FUND
WHEREAS, the State of Arizona is suing the Federal government regarding the imple-
mentation.of the Fair Labor Standards Act which Act was made applicable to State
and Local governments on May 1, 1974, and
WHEREAS, the National League of Cities has agreed to stare the cost of this litigation
and has solicited financial support from municipalities throughout the United States
to be channeled through the State Leagues,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FL(MOUTH
that the City contribute the sum of $100 to be appropriated from the Cit,,'s contin-
gency fund to the League of Minnesota Municipalities Fair Labor Standards Act
Trust Fund for the purpose of supporting financially the suit brought by the State
of Arizona against the United States Government challenging the constitutionality
of the extension of the Fair Labor Standards Act to State and Local governments.
The motion for the adoption of the foregoing Resolution was duly seconded by
Councilman Seibold _, and upon vote being taken thereon, the
ung voted in favor ereo : Mayor Hilde_ Councilman Hunt

Whereupon the Resolution was declared dulyy passedan adopted.
