HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council Resolution 1974-535W 0 • CITY OF PLYMOUTH Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a "SPECIAL meeting of the City Council �f the City of Plymouth, Minnesota, was held on the 28th day Of Octo er , lg 74 . The following members were present: Mayor _ Hi e, Councilmen Hun t, N67s, Seibold and Spaeth _ The following members were a sent: none Councilman Spaeth introduced the following Resolution and moved adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 74-535 AUTHORIZING PAYMENT TO MINNEHAHA CREEK WATERSHED DISTRICT - PINETREE POND DRAINAGE DISTRICT IMPROVEMENTS WHEREAS, the Plymouth Council, by Resolution No. 72-508, dated December 4, 1972, did petition the Minnehaha Creek Watershed District to construct an outlet to Hadley Lake frau the Pinetree Pond drainage area, and WHEREAS, the City of Plymouth agreed to reimburse the District for expenses it • incurred in the event the project was not undertaken, and WHEREAS, the Board of Managers of the Minnehaha Creek Watershed District have adopted a report which concludes that the project has a negative cost benefit ration and have, therefore, concluded that the project should not proceed, and WHEREAS, the BoarC of Managers have submitted a statement to the City of Plymouth in the amount of $18,088.26 for costs which have been incurred by the District in the course of their investigation study of this petition and have agreed to participate in the costs in the amount ;f $5,000, leaving a balance of $13,088.26, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH that the report of the Minnehaha Creek Watershed District concerning the proposed Pinetree Pond drainage project be and the same is hereby received, and FURTHER that the City Manager be directed to pay to the Minnehaha Creek Watershed District the sum of $13,088.26 represent=ng the City's obligation for services rendered by the Minnehaha Creek Watershed District in pursuing the City's petition for the Pinetree Pond drainage district improvements.
