CITY OF PLYMOUTH
Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting of the City
Council of the City of Plymouth, Vinnesota, was held on t e 21st day of
October , 19 74 . The following members were presen�ayor

Councilman Hunt introduced the following Resolution and moved
its adoption:
RESOLUTION NO. 74-501
A RESOLUTION WAIVING THE REQUIREMENT OF SECTION 462.358, SUBDIVISION 4,
MINNESOTA STATUTES AND SECTION 9.02 OF CHAPTER VII OF THE CITY
CODE RELATIVE TO CONVEYANCES BY METES AND BOUNDS OF PARCELS
OF LAND CONTAINING LESS THAN FIVE ACRES
WHEREAS, Leo Lund and John H. Gullickson, owners of land in Section 36 of the City
of Plymnuth, has requested a subdivision variance, and
WHEREAS, the City Planning Commission has reviewed said request and recommends
approval, and
WHEREAS, the City Council has now determined that the subdivision of said land
into two parcels, one of which would contain less than five (5) acres, would not
^nterfer_ with the purposes of the Subdivision Regulations of the City of Plymouth
Fnd that a refusal to permit such subdivision would create an unnecessary hardship
such owner,
NCW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH,
AS FOLLOWS:
Compliance with the provisions of Section 462.358, Subdivision 4, Minneslta
Statutes, and Section 9.02 of Chapter VII of the City Code relating to convey-
ances 'iy metes and bounds of parcels of land containing an area of less than
five 5) acres is hereby waived wi • respect to the following described
parcels:
PARCEL "A"
That part of the South 15 acres of the Northwest Quarter of the Northwest Quarter
of Section 36, Township 118, Range 22, Hennepin County, Minnesota, lying North-
westerly of the renter tine of South Shore Drive (Formerly known as Meaicine
Lake Road), except that part thereof embraced in Registered Land Survey No. 694,
and except that part described as follows: beginning at the northwest corner
of Tract A, Registered Land Survey No. 694; thence east along the north line
of said Tract A 222.56 feet; thence southeasterly along the northerly line of
said Tract A 135.44 feet to the northeast corner of said Tract A; thence
northeasterly along the center line rf South Store Drive 268 feet; thence
northwesterly at a right angle to the last described line 200 feet; thence
southwesterly 282.87 feet to a point on the northerly extension of the west
line of said Tract A distant 114.48 feet northerly of the point of beginning;

thence south 114.48 feet to the point of beginning. Subject to the most
. southeasterly 33 feet for South Shore Drive.
PARCEL "B"
That part of the South 15 acres of the Northwest Quarter of the hcrc>>west
quarter of Section 36, Township 118, Range 22, Hennepin County, Minnesota,
lying northwesterly of the center line of South Shore Drive (fo-merly known
as Medicine Lake Road) and described as follows: beginning at the northwest
corner of Tract A, Registered Lane Survey No. 694; thence east along the north
line of said Tract A 222.56 feet; thence southeasterly along the northerly
line of said Tract A 135.44 feet to the northeast corner of said Tract A;
thence northeasterly along the center line of South Shcre Drive 158 feet;
thence northwesterly at a right angle to the last described line 200 feet;
thence northeasterly at a right angle to the last described line 110 feet;
thence southwesterly 282.87 feet to a point on the northerly eytelsion of
the west line of said Tract A distant 114.48 feet northerly of the point
of beginning; thence south 114.48 feet to the point of beginning. Subject
to the most southeasterly 33 feet for South Shore Drive.
2. The City Clerk is directed to prepare certified copies of this resolution
for recording purposes.
The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by
Councilman Spaeth, and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in
favor thereof: Mayor Hilde, Councilmen Hunt and Neils and Spaeth. The following
voted against or abstained: none. (Councilman Seibold was away from the
Council table.) Whereupon ;.;ie resolution was declared 'duly passed and adopted.
