The following members were presenti —Kc- ig or Hunt. unc men Ails and Seibold The following members were absent: Councilman Spaeth andMayor_Hilde r#* Councilman Neils introduced the following Resolution and moved Its adoption: RESOLUTION NO`. 74-491 AWARDING BID FOR PROJECT NOS. 307, 406 AND 407 - RADISSON INN FRONTAGE ROAD, 25TH AVENUE STREETS, AND CREEKWOOD HEIGHTS STORM SEWER TO ALEXANDER CONSTRUCTION CO. WHEREAS, pursuant to an advertisement for bids for the improvement of 1. Project No. 307 - T.H. 55 Frontage Road (Radisson Inn Frontage Road) between Annapolis Lane and Xenium Lane; and 24th Avenue North between Zinnia Lane and Xenium Lane, by the construction of sanitary sewer, water main, storm sewer, 9 ton street with concrete curb and gutter and all necessary appurtenances; ' 2. Project No. 406 - Storm drainage improvements for District BC -42 as shown on the Storm Drainage Plan for Plymouth, Minnesota, March, 1973, by the construc- tion of storm drainage pipes and all necessary appurtenances; 3. Project No. 407 - 25th Avenue between Magnolia Lane and approximately 1150 feet west thereof by the construction of bituminous street, concrete curb and gutter and all necessary appurtenances; bids were received on August 19, 1974, opened and tabulated according to law, and the following bids were received complying with the advertisement: BIDDER TOTAL BID Alexander construction Company TNT.70775 Bury and Carlson $245,555.10 Hardrives, Inc. $255,516.65 Matt Bullock Contracting $267,791.80 Nodland Associates, Inc. $269,899.00 C.S. McCrossan, Inc. $263,363.65 WHEREAS, it appears that Alexander Construction Company of Minneapolis, Minnesota is the lowest responsible bidder, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH: 1. The Mayor and Clerk are hereby authorized and directed to enter into the attached contract with Alexander Construction Company of Minneapolis, Minnesota in the name of the City of Plymouth, Minnesota for the improvement of: Project No. 307 - T.H. 55 Frontage Road (Radisson Inn Frontage Road) between Page "7ii0 ��. Annapolis Lane and Xenium Lane; and 24th Avenue North between.Zinnia Lane and Xenium Lane, by the construction of sanitary sewer, water main, storm sewer. 9`ton 'street with concrete curb and gutter and all necessary appurtenanceces, Project No. 406 - Storni drainage improvements for District BC -42 as shown on the Storm Drainage Plan for Plymouth, Minnesota, March, 1973, by the construction of storm drainage pipes and all necessary appurtenances; Project No. 407 - 25th Avenue between Magnolia Lane and approximately 1150 feet west thereof by the construction of bituminous street, concrete curb and gutter and all necessary appurtenances, according to the plans and specifications therefor approved by the City Council and on file in the office of the Cit;• Clerk. 2. The City Clerk is hereby authotized and directed to return forthwith to all bidders the deposits made with their bids, except that the deposits of success- ful bidder and the next lowest bidder shall be retained, until the contract has been signed. The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by ;. Councilman Seibold, and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor -thereof: Acting Mayor Hunt, Councilmen Neils and Seibold. The following voted against or abstained: none.
