HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council Resolution 1974-457CITY OF PLYMOUTk Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a special meeting of the City Council of the City of Plymouth, Minnesota, eras held on the 30th day of September 197q The following members were present: Mayor Hilda, Councilmen Hunt. i 1 - The following members were absent:. enunci I man Spihnld _ Councilman Spaeth introduced the following Resolution and moved Its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 74-457 ADOPTING ASSESSMENT - SANITARY SEWER RECS WHEREAS, pursuant to proper notice duly given as required by law. the Council - has met and heard and passed upon all objections to the proposed assessment for the improvement of previously constructed sanitary sewer trunk, forcemain, lift station and interceptor facilities. Such proposed assessment, a copy of which is attached hereto and :rade a part hereof, is hereby accepted and shall constitute the special assessment against the lands named therein, and each tract of land therein included Is hereby found to be benefitted by the proposed improvement in the amount of the assessment levied against it. 2. Such assessment.shall be Paya ;le in equal annual installments extending z over a, Period of one, year;,, thk first of the installments to be payable on or before the-first,Monday in January 1975, and shall.bear interest'at the rate of 0% per"annum fr6m.the date of the adoption of this assestment resolution. To thefirst installment shall be added interest on the ent#xe assessment from the date of this resolution until December 31, 1974. To each subsequent installment when due shall be added interest for one year on all unpaid installments. 3. The owner of any property so assessed may, at any time prior to certification of the assessment to the County Finance Director, pay the whole of the assessment on._such property with interest accrued to the date of payment to the cfity Treasgrer except that no interest shall be charged if the entire assessment is paid' -within 30 days from the adoption of this resolution; -ate he may, at any time thereafter, PAY to the County. Treasurer, the entire amount of the assessment remaining unpaid, wl* interest accrued to December 31, of the year in which payment is made, 4. The Clerk shall forthwith transmit"a certified duplicate'of this .assessment - to the County Finance Director to be extended on the proper tax 11sts of the County and such astossmints shall be collected andr paid over in the saw manner as other municipal taxes. The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilman Hunt, and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Mayor Hilde, Councilmen Hunt,Heilsand Spaeth. The following voted against or abstained: none. Whereupon the resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
