R ESOLUTION A PPROVING P LANS AND S PECIFICATIONS AND O RDERING A DVERTISEMENT
FOR B IDS FOR THE P EONY L ANE AND S CHMIDT L AKE R OAD I NTERSECTION I MPROVEMENTS
(ST200004)
WHEREAS, the City of Plymouth and Independent School District 284 staff have worked
cooperatively to address safety concerns in the area of Peony Lane and Schmidt Lake Road. Plans and
specification that include traffic signal improvements, pedestrian safety enhancements, pavement
striping changes, additional turning capacity into the school’s main entrance, and all necessary
appurtenances, have been presented to the Council for approval.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH,
MINNESOTA:
1. Such plans and specifications, a copy of which is attached hereto and made a part hereof,
are approved.
2. The City Clerk shall prepare and cause to be inserted in the official paper and in QuestCDN
an advertisement for bids upon the making of such improvement under such approved
plans and specifications. The advertisement shall be published, shall specify the work to be
done, shall state that bids will be received by the City electronically at the QuestCDN bidding
site until May 15, 2020 at 10:00 a.m., and will be opened publicly online for the furnishing of
all labor, material, and equipment for construction. Bids will be tabulated and considered
by the City Council at 7:00 p.m. on May 26, 2020, in the Council Chambers. Any bidder
whose responsibility is questioned during consideration of the bid will be given an
opportunity to address the Council on the issue of responsibility. No bids will be considered
unless submitted electronically with the appropriate bid bond or certified check payable to
the City of Plymouth for five percent of the amount of such bid.
