C ITY OF P LYMOUTH
R ESOLUTION N O. 2020-125
R ESOLUTION A CCEPTING D ONATION OF F IRE E NGINE 1
WHEREAS, Plymouth’s first firetruck was purchased in 1960 for $20,800; and
WHEREAS, the truck was named Fire Engine 1 and was a first out pumper from 1960 to 1980 and a
back-up pumper until 1986; and
WHEREAS, upon retirement, Fire Engine 1 was donated to the Plymouth Historical Society then sold
for $1 to the Plymouth Firefighters Relief Association; and fire department staff would like to ensure access
to this vehicle as an artifact of Plymouth history by accepting its donation to City ownership.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH,
MINNESOTA that the donation of Engine 1 from the Plymouth Firefighters Relief Association to the City of
Plymouth is accepted.
APPROVED by the City Council on this 14th day of April, 2020.
