Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting of the City

RESOLUTION NO. 74-369
ACCEPTING THE ALTERNATE BASE BID FOR PROJECT NO. 402-001 -
ELEVATED WATER TOWER - FROM CHICAGO BRIDGE AND IRON
WHEREAS, pursuant to an advertisement for bids for the improvement of a 2.0 million
gallon elevated water tower as shown in the Report on Water Distribution for
Plymouth, Minnesota, 1973 bids were received, opened and tabulated on June 28, 1974
according to law, and the following bids were received complying with the advertise-
ment:

AND WHEREAS, it appears that Chicago Bridge and Iron of Chicago, Illinois is the
lowest responsible bidder,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH
1. The Mayo!, and Clerk are hereby authorized and directed to enter into the attached
contract with Chicago Bridge and Iron•of Chicago. Illinois in the name of the
City of Plymouth for the improvement of a 2.0 million gallon elevated water tower
as shown in the Report on Water Uistribution for Plymouth, Minnesota, 1972
according to the plans and specifications therefor approved by the City Council
and on file in the office of the City Clerk for the low Alternate Base Bid price
of $943,700.00.

1 2. The City Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to return forthwith to all
bidders the deposits made with their bids, except that the deposits of the
sucessful bidder and the next lower bidder shall be retained until a contract
has been signed.
The motion for the adoption of the foregoing -Resolution was duly seconded by
Councilman Seibold, and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in
favor thereof: Mayor Hi-lde, Councilmen Hunt, Seibold and Spaeth. The following
Voted against .or abstained: none. Whereupon the Resolution was declared duly
passed and adopted.
