The following members were present: Mayor Hilde, Councilmen Hunt Seibold and Spaeth The o owing membErs were a sent: Court jIman Neils inrr Councilman Hunt introduced the following Resolution and moved Its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 74-367 ACCEPTING BID FOR PROJECT NO. 401 - N.E. SANITARY SEWER TRUNK - FROM RAUENHORST CORPORATION WHEREAS, pursuant to an advertisement for bids for the improvement of the (1) Northeast Sanitary Sewer Interceptor between points 5 to 5C, 5C to 6 and 6 to approximately 4000 feet north (approximately 49th Avenue North) as shown in the report on the Comprehensive Sewer Plan for Plymouth and Supplement thereto dated July 22,1973, Alternate Plan B, and (2) a portion, of the Northeast Trunk Water Main between points 1I to 1F, 1F to 18; in accordance with the Water Distribution Report for Plymouth, Minnesota dated August 5, 1971 and revised May 26, 1972 and all necessary appurtenances; bids were received, opened and tabulated on July 12, 1974 according to the law, and the following bids were received complying with the advertisement: Contractor Base Bid Rauenhorst Corporation $243,411.95 Northdale Construction Co. $269,718.60 A.F.C. Construction Corp. $279,351.75 Irving Lappa Construction Co. $286,056.00 Barbarossa B Sons, Inc. $289,327.00 C.S. McCrossan, Inc. $298,591.00 Orfei i Sons, Inc. $305,463.59 Peter Lametti Construction Co. $317.528.68 Nodland and Associates, Inc. $319,483.00 Arcon Construction $401,850.20 AND WHEREAS, it appears that Rauenhorst Corporation of Minneapolis, Minnesota is the lowest responsible bidder, NOW, THEREVGRE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH: 1. The Mayor and Clerk are hereby authorizU and directed to enter into the attached contract with Rauenhorst Corporation of Minneapolis, Minnesota in the name of the City of Plymouth for the improvement of (lythe Northeast Sanitary Sewer Interceptor between points 5 to 5C, 5C to 6 and 6 to approximately 4;00 feet north (approximately 49th Avenue North) as shown in the report on the Comprehensive RESOLUTION NO. 74-367 Page 2 Sewer Plan for Plymouth and Supplement thereto dated July 22, 1973, Alternate Plan B, and (2) a portion of the Northeast Trunk Water.. Main between points 11 to 1F, 1F to 1B; in accordance with the Water Distribution Report for Plymouth, Minnesota dated August 5, 1971 and revised May 26. 1972 and all necessary appurtenances according to the plans and specifications therefor approved by the City Council and on file in the office of the City Clerk for the low bid amount of $243,411.95. 2. The City Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to return forthwith to all bidders the deposits made with their bids, except that the deposits of the successful bidder and the next lowest bidder shall be retained until a contract has been signed. The motion for the adoption of the foregoing Resolution was duly seconded by Councilman Seibold, and upon vote being taken thereon,. the following voted in favor thereof: Mayor Hilde, Councilmen Hunt and Seibold. The following voted against or abstained: Councilman Spaeth. Whereupon the Resolution was declared duty passed and adopted.
