Councilman Seibold introduced the following Resolution and moved

RESOLUTION NO. 74-366
ACCEPTING BID FOR PROJECT NO. 302 - WATER TREATMENT PLANT -
INCLUDING ALTERNATE N3, FROM BERGLUND-JOHNSON, INC.
WHEREAS, pursuant to
an advertisement
for bids for
the construction of a

million gallon per day pressure iron removal water
treatment
plan and all

were received, opened and tabulated according to law.

AND WHEREAS, it appears that Berglund -Jot on, Inc. of Minneapolis, Minnesota is
the lowest responsible bidder.
NOW. THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH:
1. The Mayor and Clerk are hereby authorized and directed to enter into the attached
contract with Berglund -Johnson Company.of Minneapolis, Minnesota in the name of
the City of Plymout;; for the construction of a thirteen million gallon per day
pressure iron removal water treatment plant, including alternate No. 3. and all
necessary appurtenances. according to the plans and specifications approved by
the City Council and on file in the office of the City Clerk for a low bid price
of $1,372,947.00 plus alternate No. 3 of $22.151.00 for a total of $1.395,098.00.
2. The City Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to return forthwith to all bidders
the deposits made with their bids, except that the deposits of the sucessful
bidder and the next lowest bidder shall be retained until a contract hal been
signed. I
Alternate No. 2 - Place glazed concrete block through in office area only.
Alternate No, 3 - Place quarry the on all floors in entire building.
Alternate No. 4 - Place quarry tile in office area only.
The motion for the adoption of the foregoing Resolution was duly seconded by
Councilman Hunt, and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor
thereof: Na�yor Hilde, Councilmen Hunt, Seibold and Spaeth. The following voted
against or abstainer none. Whereupon the Resolution was declared duly passed and
adopted.
