The following members were present: Mayor HIM, unc menunt, -Reels, Seibold and Spaeth TFe-7-ollowing members were absent: none Councilman Hunt introduced the following Resolution and moved s adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 74-301 ACCEPTING BID FOR 1974 SEALCOAT$NG STREET PROGRAM FROM ALLIED BLACKTOP WHEREAS, pursuant to an advertisement for bids for the improvement of 1974 Sealcoating Street Program on various streets in the City of Plymouth, bids were received, opened and tabulated according to law and the following bids were received complying *ith the advertisement: Allied.`Blacktop Total Base Bid $88,837.00 Alternate Bid A $49.00/ton 4,900.00 Alternate Bid B Lump Sum 3,060.00 Alternate Bid C $.4725 per gal. 46,305.00 Bituminous Construction Co. Total Base, Bid $89.915.00 Alternate A $50.00/ton 51000.00 Alternate 8 Lump Sum 3,500.00 Alternate C $.48 per gal. Tri -County Surfacing Total Base Bid $92,855.00 Alternate A $54.00/ton 5,400.00 Alternate 8 Lump Sum 4,000.00 Alternate C $.485 per gal. 47,530.00 Batzer Construction Co. Total Base Bid $93,541.00 Alternate A. $58.00/ton 11,600.00 Alternate B No Bid Alternate C $.49 per gal. 48,020.00 WHEREAS. it appears that Allied Blacktop of Minneapolis. Minnesota is the lowest responsible bidder, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF'THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH 1. The Mayor and Clerk are hereby authorized and directed to enter into the attached contract with Allied Blacktop of Minneapolis, Minnesota in the name I of the City of Plymouth for the 1974 Sealcoating Street Program according to the plans and specifications therefore approved by the City Council and on file in the office of the City Clerk. z IMS 2. The City Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to return forthwith to all bidders. the deposits made with their bids, except that the deposits of the 5$. successful bidder and the next lowest bidder shall be retained until a contract has been signed. The motfon for the adoption of the foregoing Resolution was duly seconded by Councilman Seibold, and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: PAyar Hilae, Councilmen Hunt, Neils, Seibold and Spaeth.
