R ESOLUTION A WARDING B ID FOR N ORTHWEST G REENWAY
S HELTER B UILDING (PRK140005.200)
WHEREAS, City Council authorized the advertisement of bids for bid package two construction of
the Northwest Greenway shelter building; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to an advertisement for bids for the construction of the Northwest
Greenway Shelter Building, bids were received, opened and tabulated on March 10, 2020, and the
following bids were received complying with the advertisement; and

WHEREAS, based on bid amounts, staff and consultants recommend accepting the base bid and
alternate bid from Versacon, Inc with a bid of $1,625,600; and
WHEREAS, Versacon, Inc qualifications and work performance are compliant with the City’s
Responsible Bidder Evaluation Policy; and
WHEREAS, the Northwest Greenway Shelter Building is scheduled in the 2020 Capital
Improvement Program (CIP) for $1,900,000 utilizing the Park Dedication Fund; and
WHEREAS, the Northwest Greenway Shelter Building will cost $2,090,000 due to the
correction of poor soils; and
WHEREAS the $190,000 excess will be funded utilizing the Park Dedication Fund.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH,
MINNESOTA, that staff is authorized and directed to enter into contract with Versacon, Inc for the
construction of the Northwest Greenway Shelter Building for $1,625,600 utilizing the Park Dedication
Fund.
