Councilman Hunt introduced the following Resolution and moved
its; a opt on:
RESOLUTION NO. 74-298
APPROVING PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS FOR IMPROVEMENT OF T.H. 55
WHEREAS, the Commissioner of Highways has preparedg�plans, special provisions and
specifications for the improvement of a part of Trunk Highway Number 188 renumbered
as Trunk Highway Number 55 within the corporate limits - the City of Plymouth,
located at South Shore Drive and County Road 73 in Plymouth; and
WHEREAS, said plans are on file in the office of the Department of Highways,
Saint Paul, Minnesota, being marked. labeled, and identified as S.P. 2723-50
(55'168); and
WHEREAS, said special provisions are on file in the office of the Department of
Highways, Saint Paul Minnesota, being marked, labeled and 4dentified as
S. .'272i -SO (55=188. which, together with the Minnesota Departmentoof Highways
Specifications for Highway Construction. dated January 1. 1972, as amended by
"Supplemental Specifications" dated January 1, 1974, shall govern, on file 1n
the office of the Commissioner of Highways, constitute the specifications for
said improvement of Trunk Highway 188 renumbered as Trunk Highway Number 55; and
WHEREAS, copies of said plans and special provisions as so marked, labeled and
identified are also on file in the office of the City Clerk; and
WHEREAS, the term "said plans and special provisions" as hereinafter used in the
body of this resolution shall be deemed and intended to mean, refer to, and
ticorporatedthe plans and special provisions in the foregoing recitals particularly
identified and described.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH
that said plans and special provisions for the improvement of Trunk Highway Number
188 renumbered as Trunk Highway Number 55 within the limits of the City of Plymouth
be and hereby are approved.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the elevations and grades as shown :n said plans
and special-ped0 sions be and they are hereby approved and consent is hereby
given to any and all changes in grade occasioned by the construction of said
Trunk Highway Number 188 renumbered as Trunk Highway Number 55 in accordance
with said plans and special provisions.
The motion for the adoption of the foregoing Resolution was duly seconded by
Councilman Seibold, and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in
favor thereof: Mayor Hilde, Councilmen Hunt, Neils, Seibold and Spaeth. The
following voted against or abstained: none. Whereupon the Resolution was
declared duly passed and adopted.
