HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council Resolution 2020-115 C ITY OF P LYMOUTH R ESOLUTION N O. 2020-115 R ESOLUTION C ALLING FOR A P UBLIC H EARING FOR THE 2020 S TREET R ECONSTRUCTION P ROJECT (ST209001) WHEREAS, pursuant to a resolution of the City Council adopted February 11, 2020, a report has th been prepared with reference to the recommended project area including 15 Ave from Rosewood Ln thth to the Hwy 55 Frontage Road, Pineview Ln from a point 180 feet north of 13 Ave to 15 Ave, Oakview thththth Ln from 15 Ave to 11 Ave, 12 Ave from Oakview Ln to Kirkwood Ln, 11 Ave from Pineview Ln to thth Magnolia Ln, Magnolia Ln from 11 Ave to 12 Ave, Kirkwood Ln from the Hwy 55 Frontage Road to th Magnolia Ln, Hwy 55 Frontage Road from 15 Ave to Cottonwood Ln, Ives Ln south of the Hwy 55 Frontage Road, Forestview Ln south of the Hwy 55 Frontage Road, Cottonwood Ln south of the Hwy 55 nd Frontage Road, 32 Ave from East Medicine Lk Blvd to a point 205 feet east of Saratoga Ln, Saratoga Lan ndnd from 32 Ave to a point 150 feet south, Union Terrace south of 32 Ave, East Medicine Lk Blvd from the th driveway entrance to 3110 East Medicine Lk Blvd to Medicine Ridge Road, 30 Avenue east of East thth Medicine Lk Blvd, 24 Ave from Lancaster Ln to Kilmer Ln, 17 Ave west of Kilmer Ln, and Nathan Ln th south of 10 Ave; and WHEREAS, the proposed improvement includes reconstruction of streets, installation of concrete curb and gutter, water main, and storm sewer, repairs to the sanitary sewer, and all necessary appurtenances; and WHEREAS, said report is being received by the Council on February 11, 2020; and WHEREAS, the report provides information regarding whether the proposed project is necessary, cost effective, and feasible; whether it should best be made as proposed or in connection with some other improvement; the estimated cost of the improvements as recommended; and a description of the methodology used to calculate individual assessments for affected parcels; and WHEREAS, pursuant to a resolution of the City Council adopted February 11, 2020, the Council will consider the improvement of such streets in accordance with the report and the assessment of abutting and adjacent property within the designated 2020 Street Reconstruction Project, City Project No. ST209001, for all or a portion of the cost of the improvement pursuant to Minnesota Statutes 429.011 to 429.111 (Laws 1953, Chapter 398, as amended) at an estimated total cost of the improvement of $12,708,800; and WHEREAS, pursuant to a resolution of the City Council adopted February 11, 2020, WSB has previously been designated as engineer for the improvement. They shall prepare plans and specifications for the making of such improvement. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA that a public hearing shall be held on such proposed improvement on the 12th day of May, 2020, in the Council Chambers of the Plymouth City Center at 3400 Plymouth Boulevard at 7:00 p.m., and the Clerk shall give mailed and published notice of such hearing and improvements as required by law.
