C ITY OF P LYMOUTH
R ESOLUTION N O. 2020-110
R ESOLUTION A PPROVING P AYMENT N O. 3 AND F INAL FOR THE
O LD R OCKFORD R OAD O VERLAY (16005) AND T RAIL P ROJECT (40063)
WHEREAS, the City of Plymouth as the owner and C.S. McCrossan, Inc., as the contractor, have
entered into an agreement for the Old Rockford Road Overlay and Trail Project. Said agreement was
approved by the City Council on June 14, 2016; and
WHEREAS, the Engineer has certified his acceptance of the work and approval of the final
request for payment.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH,
MINNESOTA:
1. That the original contract amount between the owner and the contractor was $696,499.50, the
revised contract amount was $710,680.70, and value of the work to date is $663,615.68 and is
approved. The final contract amount is $47,064.32, or 6.6% below the revised contract amount.
2. That the work performed by the contractor for the Old Rockford Road Overlay and Trail Project
and certified to the Council by the engineer as acceptable, being the same, is released from the
contract except as to the conditions of the performance bond, any and all legal rights of the
owner, required guarantees, and correction of faulty work after final payment.
3. Request for Payment No. 3 and Final in the amount of $35,393.10 to C.S. McCrossan, Inc. for the
Old Rockford Road Overlay and Trail Project is approved and the Finance Manager is authorized
and directed to pay the same forthwith.
4. The total project cost is $696,796.46 which includes the mill and overlay in the amount of
$357,646.18, trail improvements in the amount of $305,969.50, and design, administration, and
contingency in the amount of $33,180.78.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the funding for this project shall come from the Street
Reconstruction Fund in the amount of $375,528.49, the Park Dedication Fund in the amount of
$221,267.97, and Hennepin County in the amount of $100,000.00.
