R ESOLUTION R ECEIVING P RELIMINARY E NGINEERING R EPORT, O RDERING P REPARATION OF
P LANS AND S PECIFICATIONS, AND C ALLING FOR A P UBLIC H EARING FOR THE
S CHMIDT L AKE R OAD AND Z ACHARY L ANE P AVEMENT R EHABILITATION P ROJECT (ST209005)
WHEREAS, pursuant to a resolution of the City Council adopted March 24, 2020, a report has been
prepared with reference to the recommended project area that includes Schmidt Lake Road from Northwest
Boulevard to Nathan Lane, Zachary Lane from Rockford Road to Bass Lake Road, Pineview Lane from Schmidt

Lake Road to 53 Avenue, and Niagara Lane south of 45 Avenue; and
WHEREAS, the proposed improvement includes the mill and overlay of streets, reclamation of streets,
replacement of concrete curb and gutter, water repairs, sewer repairs, and all necessary appurtenances; and
WHEREAS, said report is being received by the Council on March 24, 2020; and
WHEREAS, the report provides information regarding whether the proposed project is necessary, cost
effective, and feasible; whether it should best be made as proposed or in connection with some other
improvement; the estimated cost of the improvement as recommended; and a description of the methodology
used to calculate individual assessments for affected parcels.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH,
MINNESOTA:
1. The Council will consider the improvement of such streets in accordance with the report and the
assessment of abutting and adjacent property within the designated Schmidt Lake Road and Zachary
Lane Pavement Rehabilitation Project (ST209005) for all or a portion of the cost of the improvement
pursuant to Minnesota Statutes 429.011 to 429.111 (Laws 1953, Chapter 398, as amended) at an
estimated total cost of the improvement of $6,231,889.96.
2. A public hearing shall be held on such proposed improvement on the 26th day of May, 2020, in the
Council Chambers of the Plymouth City Center at 3400 Plymouth Boulevard at 7:00 p.m., and the City
Clerk shall give mailed and published notice of such hearing and improvements as required by law.
3. Bolton & Menk, Inc. has previously been designated as the engineer for the improvement. They shall
prepare plans and specifications for the making of such improvement.
