R ESOLUTION N O. 2020-096
R ESOLUTION A PPROVING P LANS AND S PECIFICATIONS, AND O RDERING A DVERTISEMENT
FOR B IDS FOR THE 2020 X ENIUM L ANE W ATER M AIN R EHABILITATION (WA200001)
WHEREAS, the 2020-2029 Capital Improvement Program made recommendations for 2020
Xenium Lane Water Main Rehabilitation; and
WHEREAS, the recommended project area includes Xenium Lane North from the Pacific Railroad
right-of-way to Carlson Parkway North, and the Goldie Lane North right-of-way from West Medicine
Lake Drive to approximately 290’ west of the roadway; and
WHEREAS, the City Engineer has prepared plans and specifications for improvement No.
WA200001, the 2020 Xenium Lane Water Main Rehabilitation, which includes water main lining and all
necessary appurtenances, and has presented such plans and specifications to the Council for approval.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH,
MINNESOTA:
1. Such plans and specifications, a copy of which is attached hereto and made a part hereof,
are approved.
2. The City Clerk shall prepare and cause to be inserted in the official paper and in QuestCDN
an advertisement for bids upon the making of such improvement under such approved
plans and specifications. The advertisement shall be published two times, shall specify the
work to be done, shall state that bids will be received by the City Clerk until 10:00 a.m. on
April 28, 2020 at which time they will be publicly opened in the City Council Chambers of the
Plymouth City Center building at 3400 Plymouth Boulevard, Plymouth, Minnesota, by the
engineer and City Clerk, will then be tabulated, and will be considered by the council at 7:00
p.m. on May 12, 2020, in the Council Chambers. Any bidder whose responsibility is
questioned during consideration of the bid will be given an opportunity to address the
Council on the issue of responsibility. No bids will be considered unless sealed and filed
with the City Clerk and accompanied by a cash deposit, cashier's check, bid bond or certified
check payable to the City Clerk for five percent of the amount of such bid.
