SueltL 4' die- r;g demes were absent.- ,11oQ t *�* ' ,►war *,� i i f Mayor Ht1de introduced the following Resolution and moved adoption*..: RESOLUTIONNO.'74-263 "HUNGER DAY" JUNE 16, 1974 WHEREAS, many citizens of Hennepin County are in immediate need of emergency food services; and WHEREAS,,.ten major distribution centers are established to meeting emergency food and 0needs; WHEREAS, the ever-increasing costs of medical services, -food and clothing, when coupled with rising inflation, inadequate Social Security, add tremendous burdens to " our less:. fortunate citizens; and WHEREAS, these ;food shelves are in `desperate need of replenishment. *4 THEREFORE, BE IT-HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF, THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH Mat the C�ty,'of.Plymouth endorse and support the June 16, 1974 designation of "%Origer Y; He►nepin .County", BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that we strongly encourage all segments cf our citizenry t0 assist the Minneapolis Urban Coalition and other agencies in the collection of food and financial commitments to replenish this vitally important resource many ' citizens so de'tperately need.
