RESOLUTION NO. 74-256
APPROVING PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS, COMBINING PROJECTS FOR BIDDING AND
ORDERING ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS - PROJECT NOS. 408 AND 409
WHEREAS, pursuant to a resolution passed by the Council on February 25, 1974, the
consulting engineer, Bonestroo, Rosene, Anderlik.and Associates, ' -., retained
for the purpose, has prepared plans and specifications for the improvement of 34th
Avenue between Kilmer Lane and Pilgrim Lane, Project 408, by the construction of a
seven ton street with concrete curb and gutter and necessary appurtenances and has
. presented such plans and specifications to the Council for approval, and
WHEREAS, pursuant to a resolution passed by the Council on February 25, 1974, the
consulting engineer, Bohestroo, Rosene, Anderlik and Associates, Inc., retained
for the purpose, has prepared plans and specifications for the improvement of 36th
Avenue (south side of street) between County Road 18 and Pilgrim Lane by the construc-
tion of concrete sidewalk and all necessary appurtenances, and has presented such
plans and specifications to the Council for approval,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT "HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH:
1. That Project No. 408 and Project No. 409 are hereby combined for bidding purposes.
2. Such plans and specifications, a copy of which is attached hereto and made a
part hereof, are hereby approved.
3. The City Clerk shall prepare and cause to be inserted in the official paper and
in The Construction Bulletin an advertisement for bids upon the making of such
improvements under such approved plans and specifications. The advertisement
shall be published for two days, shall specify the work to be done, shall state
that bids will be received by the Clerk until 11:00 A.M. on June 14, 1974, at
which time they will be publicly opened in the Council Chambers of the City
Hall, located at 14900 23rd Avenue North, by the City Manager and the City Engineer,
will then be tabulated and will be considered by the Council at 7:30 P.M. on
June 17, 1974 in the Council Chambers; and that no bids will be considered unless
sealed and filed with the clerk and accompanied by a cash deposit, cashiers check,
bid bond or certified check payable to the Clerk for 5% of the amount of such bid.
The motion for the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilman Hunt, and
upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Mayor Hilde
Councilmen Hunt.NeilsTh
and Spaeth. e following voted against or abstained: non;.
Whereupon the resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
