HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council Resolution 1974-251W W CITY OF PLYMIOUTH Pursuant to due ca -1 and notice thereof, a regular meeting of the City Coun it of the City of Plymouth, Minnesota, was held on the 20th day of �ay , 19 74 The following members were presen�ayor Hilde, ounc men Hunt, Neils and Spaeth The following membFrs were absent: Councilman Seibold Councilman Hunt introduced the following Resolution and moved is adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 74-251 CALLING PUBLIC HEARING - PROPOSED VACATION OF OLD CSAH NO. 9 RIGHT-OF-WAY WEST OF CSAH NO. 18 WHEREAS, Hennepin County has constructed CSAH No. 9 on its new alignment west from CSAH No. 18 to approximately the Lancaster Lane connection, and WHEREAS, the old right-of-way of CSAH No. 9 was transferred to the jurisdiction of the City of Plymouth at the time the plans for the CSAH No. 18 and CSAH No. 9 interchange plans were approved by the City of Plymouth, pursuant to MSA 162.02 Subdivision 7, Minnesota Statutes, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH that a public hearing be held on July 1, 1974 at the City Public Works Building, 14900 23rd Avenue North at 7:30 P.M. to hear comments on the proposed vacation of the old CSAH No. 9 right-of-way west of CSAH No. 18 described as follows: That part of County Road No. 9 (Rockford Road) lying easterly of the northerly extension of the westerly right-of-way of Lancaster Lane and westerly of the westerly right-of-way of CSAH No. 18 all lying in Section 13, Township 118, Range 22, Hennepin County, Minnesota. Also, that part of Lancaster Lane described as follows: Beginning at the inter- section of the easterly right-of-way of Lancaster Lane and the southerly right- of-way of County Road 9; thence southerly along the easterly right-of-way of Lancaster Lane a distance of 200.23'; thence northwesterly to a point on the westerly right-of-way of Lancaster Lane distant 48.0' southerly of southerly right-of-way of County Road No. 9; thence northerly along westerly right-of-way of Lancaster Lane to southerly right-of-way of County Road 9; thence easterly to point of beginning and there terminating; all lying in Section 13, Township 118, Range 22, Hennepin County, Minnesota. The motion for the adoption of the foregoing Resolution was duly seconded by Councilman Spaeth, and upon vote being taken thereun, the fcllowing voted in favor thereof: Mayor Hilde, Councilmen Hunt, Neils and Spaeth. The following voted against or abstained: none. Whereupon the Resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
