HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council Resolution 1974-1387 CITY OF PLYMOUTH Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Plymouth, Minnesota, was held on the 4th day of March, 1974. The following members were present: Mayor Hilde, Councilmen Neils, Hunt and Spaeth. The following members were absent: Councilman Seibold. Councilman Spaeth introduced the following Resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 74-138 DECLARING COST TO BE ASSESSED AND ORDERING PREPARATION OF PROPOSED ASSESSMENT - PROJECT #222 WHEREAS, a contract has been let for the installation of sanitary sewer and/or water main and necessary appurtenances, for all or a portion of the following described properties: PLAYHOUSE INDUSTRIAL PARK The Southwest Quarter of Section 21, lying North of .:8th Avenue North. The Northwest Quarter of Section 21, lying South of T.H. 55. The East 99 rods of the Southeast Quarter of Section 20. The Southeast Quarter of the Northeast Quarter of Section 20. All in Township 118 North. Range 22, West. and the contract price of such improvement is $158,792.45 and the expenses incurred or to be incurred in the making of said improvement amount to $39,875.56 so that the total cost of the improvement will be $198,668.01 and of this cost the City will pay $8,879.52 as its share of the cost and the City previously received $5,349.80. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH: 1) The cost of such improvement to be specially assessed is hereby declared to be $184,438.69. 2) It is further determined that the following charges for sanitary sewer trunk force main, lift station and interceptor facilities and water trunk main. pumping and storage facilities for the above referenced project shall be applied to the existing land use zoning: WATER Area Charge Residential $225 per 1/2 acre or dwelling unit Commercial -Industrial $675 per acre Resolution No. 74 - Page Two SEWER Area Charge Residential $225 per 1/2 acre or dwelling unit Cammercial-Industrial $675 per acre 3) The City Clerk, with the assistance of the City Engineer, shall forthwith calculate the proper amount to be specially assessed for such improvement against every assessable lot, piece or parcel of land within the district affected without regard to cash valuation as provided by law, and she shall file L copy of such proposed assessment in her office for public inspection. 4) The Clerk shall, upon completion of such proposed assessment, notify the Council thereof. The motion for the adoption of the foregoing Resolution was duly seconded by Councilman Neils, and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Mayor Hilde, Councilmen Neils and Spaeth. The following voted against or abstained: Councilman Hunt. Whereupon the Resolutionwasdeclared duly passed and adopted.
