HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council Resolution 1974-136CITY OF PLYMOUTH Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Plymouth, Minnesota, was held on the 4th day of March, 1974. The following members were present: Mayor Hilde, Councilmen Neils, Hunt and Spaeth. The following members were abst++i.: Councilman Seibold. Councilman Spaeth introduced the following Resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 74-196; DECLARING COST TO BE ASSESSED AND ORDERING PREPARATION OF PROPOSED ASSESSMENT - PROJECT #142 WHEREAS, a contract has been let for the construction of street im- provements in the West Medicine Lake Area north of 26th Avenue North between Renium Lane and West Medicine Lake to serve the following described pro- perties: Unplatted Lands: 43723 - 7400, 6190, 6185, 6170, 6140, 6110, 6122, 6124, 7015, 5810, 4810, 5600, 6800, 6600, 6400, 1630, 4060, 4200, 7600, 5110, 4010 43727 - 1430 Platted Lands: Lots 1-16, Block 1, Creekwood Heights 1st Addition Lots 1-12, Block 2, Creekwood Heights 1st Addition Lots 1-12, Block 3, Creekwood Heights 1st Addition Lots 1-4, Block 1, Creekwood Heights 2nd Addition Lots 1-3, Block 2, Creekwood Heights 2nd Addition Lots 1-19, Block 3, Creekwood Heights 2nd Addition Lots 1-19, Block 4, Creekwood Heights 2nd Addition Lots 5-16, Block 3, Elmhurst Gardens Lots 13-24,B1ock 2, Elmhurst Gardens Lots 1-4, Block 1, Elmhurst Heights Lots 1-4, Block 2, Elmhurst Heights Lots 1-4, Block 3, Elmhurst Heights Lots 1-6, Carey Addition R.L.S. 701 R.L.S. 237 and the contract price of such improvement is $262,893.26 and the expenses incurred or to be incurred in the making of said improvement amounts to $61,597.66 so that the total cost of the improvement will be $324,490.92 and of this amount the City will pay $0.00 as its share of the cost. Resolution No. Page Two NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH: 1) The cost of such improvement to be specially assessed is hereby declared to be $324,490.92. 2) The City Clerk, with the assistance of the City Engineer shall forthwith calculate the proper amount to be specially assessed for such improvement against every assessable lot, piece or par - cal of land within the district affected without regard to cash valuation, as provided by law, and she shall file a copy of such proposed assessment in her office for public inspection. 3) The Clerk, shall upon completion of such proposed assessment, notify the Council thereof, The motion for the adoption of the foregoing Resolution was duly seconded by Councilman Neils, and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Mayor Hilde. Councilmen Neils, Hunt and Spaeth. The following voted against or abstained: None. Whereupon the Resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
